NOTE: For those who come here from the Facebook groups, I have decided to take a break from social media because, in the words of Jagger and Richards, “this lowdown bitchin’ got my poor feet a-itchin.'” It’s not the Beaker Street or Arkansas Rocks groups themselves I am talking about (everyone there has been marvelous to me). It’s everything else associated with social media that I can’t stand these days. Society seems to be coming apart at the seams for a variety of reasons I won’t get into here. I don’t have to watch it in real time and I can think of much better things to do than either be a keyboard warrior (God forbid) or get into an argument with one.

I remember Dr. Andrew Weil recommending something called a “news fast” in the late 90’s. In the early 2020’s I’m going to take the advice and make it a “social media fast.” I will still be manning the fort here most every Friday night doing live blogging and I hope my online friends come on by and give me a hello. If anyone needs anything, feel free to reach me at beakerstreetsetlists@gmail.com

I can’t say when I will be returning to Facebook. But I will say its been 72 hours since I’ve logged on to social media as of this writing and I can tell you that, aside from withdrawl side effects, my mind and outlook feel much lighter and more positive. See you Friday night.  -Tyler

  2. We miss ya darlin’ but completely understand. Some people think their opinion of things is the only opinion. I usually just scroll on by so those people miserable with their own life can’t make mine miserable. Take care of you. 🥰✌🏼❤️
